Obituary

Judy was born November 20, 1942 in Shelton, Washington to Curtis and Virginia Grout. Swimming, beachcombing, and camping with family and friends were fond memories of her childhood home on the shore of Hood Canal. She graduated from Shelton High School in 1960 and was married to Reed Brian Tindall until 1972. They had two children together, Brian Hayden Tindall in 1962, and Jean Claire Tindall in 1966.

While working as a secretary at the Atlantic Richfield Company's Cherry Point Refinery in Blaine, Washington, Judy met her future husband, Duane Eugene Eitreim. They were married January 22, 1974 at Edison Lutheran Church in Bow, Washington. When Judy, Brian, and Jeannie moved to Duane's farm in Bow. Judy embraced living and working on the farm, caring for their animals, gardening, and canning. The family spent countless hours in Puget Sound fishing and crabbing from their boat.  Judy and Duane also took many trips together over the years: to San Diego, Disneyland, the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Alaska, and numerous fishing trips in British Columbia, Canada.

In the 1980's Judy also worked as a secretary for the Swanland & Belisle crop-dusting company and as an administrative assistant for an insurance adjuster in Mt. Vernon, WA. Her hobbies were reading, sewing, knitting, and ceramics.  Over the years she served many hours on committees at her church and as a member of the Edison Lutheran Church Care Team.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Curtis & Virginia Grout; her father- and mother-in-law Claire and Viola Eitreim; and also, her brother- and sister-in-law Dave & Diann Maars.
