Judy was born December 28, 1943 in Mount Vernon to Alvin and Doris Crawford; she passed away unexpectedly August 6, 2021 in Sedro Woolley.  Judy attended Mount Vernon Schools and graduated from MVHS in 1962.  She met and Married John Steen in 1963.  During this time Judy became a beautician and worked in that profession form several years.  She then became and pharmacy technician at United General Hospital until transferring to Skagit Valley Hospital and retiring there after 30 years of service to our community.  She spent most of her time quilting.  She loved to play the slots and finding treasures at garage sales.  She spent four months every year in Needles, CA where she was a member of the Needles Rock and Gem Club, where she loved searching the desert for rocks and treasures.  She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John; son: Brian (Kathy) Steen; daughter: Brenda Roybal; grandson: A.J. Steen; brother: Gary (Michael) Crawford and David (Carol) Crawford.  Viewing will be held Monday, August 16, 2021, 9:30 am until the chapel service, 11:00 am at Hawthorne Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Bow Cemetery.
