It pleased the Lord to choose March 20, 2017 to receive his faithful servant Julio E. Castillo into His presence. Julio was born on October 9, 1950 in Ahuachapán, El Salvador, C.A. to Cristina Castillo and Gilberto Granados.

Julio came to the United States in 1980. In 1984 he met Martha while attending an in home Bible Study in Mount Vernon, WA. where Julio accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Julio and Martha were married on December 23, 1985. Julio actively served his Lord in ministry raising Spanish speaking churches in Skagit Co, and being involved in planting Spanish speaking churches also in Whatcom Co. Through his Bible Studies and preaching Julio raised pastors and lymen for ministry in local Spanish Churches.

Julio was preceded in death by his father, Gilberto Granados and older brother, Carlos Castillo, both from El Salvador and his great grandson Joshua M. Delacruz.

He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Martha Castillo, his mother Cristina Castillo, his brothers, Mauricio, Rene (Carol), and Francisco (Roxana) Castillo, daughter Christina Castillo Cuevas and grandson Diego Cuevas, daughter/granddaughter Cassandra Renderos, son/grandson Adrian Vasquez, step daughters which he loved as his own, Christina Ibarra, Marissa Gutierrez, Geneva Valdez, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren all of whom adored him. Julio was loved by everyone who met him.

Julio faithfully followed and served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with a servants heart. With raised hands and a victorious shout of "Glory to God! Hallelujah!" he abandoned his earthly shell for his eternal glorious body a few minutes later.
