June Hart O'Dell passed away on July 2, 2008 at Mount Vernon, Washington. June was born May 20, 1919 at Union City, Ohio, to Charles and Retha Hart. She moved to Washington where she met and married John A. O'Dell. They lived in the Seattle/Foster areas, and after the war ended, moved to Orcas Island. They resided in Moran State Park until John's death in 1964. June then moved into Eastsound on property they had purchased as a retirement home. June worked at the Bank in Eastsound and continued to play the piano and organ for dances and entertainment music at Rosario. June later married Arthur Schulberg, who was a long time friend of the family. June had many interests that included knitting, quilting, fishing, traveling, playing bridge, in which she received her Master Certificate. She was also instrumental in many plays and shows that were presented at the Orcas Community Theater. June and Arthur moved to Mount Vernon. They enjoyed their retirement years, traveling to Arizona, Mexico and Alaska, until his death on June 12 1992. She was preceded un passing by her parents, two sisters, two sons, Don O'Dell and John Michael O'Dell. She is survived by her son Kim A. O'Dell, wife Doris and daughter Pamela June Danliker, husband Bill. Nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial Service will be held at Emanuel Episcopal Church, Eastsound, Washington, at 2:00 P..M. Saturday, July 19, 2008 with a reception to follow at the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in June's name to Emanuel Episcopal Church memorial Garden, Eastsound or a charity of your chose. Internment will follow at the Olga Cemetery at a later date.
