June P Pearce June P. Pearce died December 22, 2008 after a brief hospitalization at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon with family by her side. She was born October 24, 1930 to George and Iola Potter in Anacortes. June was raised and educated in La Conner. She married Roy Etter in 1947 and had two children, Jim and Shelah. June and her family lived in Anacortes for 24 years. She worked in the accounting department of Texaco Refinery and later sold Real Estate for Scott Richards. In 1971 she moved to Burlington and bought her own Real Estate office. On July 2, 1973 June married Eugene Pearce who also had a Real Estate office in Burlington. She served as Skagit Co. Association of Realtors President in 1974. She and Gene joined offices and worked until their retirement in 1982. She became an avid golfer, member of Skagit Golf & Country Club, served on the SG&CC board, active in the ladies division and loved playing cards with friends and family. Gene and June traveled a lot during their retirement and wintered in Arizona for many years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, January 15, 2008, 11:00 am at the Skagit Golf and Country Club, with a reception to follow.
