June Marie Wickert June was born June 1, 1921 in Port Angeles, WA to Cliff and Mary Wilson; she passed away July 13, 2010 at her home in Burlington with her family by her side. She grew up in the Forks, WA area on the family homestead. She was married November 20, 1940 to Ed Wickert in Forks, WA. In 1945 they moved to Burlington, where they raised their children. She was a longtime and active member of His Place Community Church. She is survived by her children: Ray (Connie) Wickert of Burlington and Janet (Jim) Schubert of Friday Harbor; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed in 1995. She loved gardening, music, fishing and anything involved in the outdoors. Viewing will be held at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Monday, July 19, 2010, 9:00 am until the graveside service, 1:00 pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will follow at His Place Community Church at 2:00 pm. Memorials may be made in June's name to His Place Community Church or Hospice of the Northwest.
