Kara Marie (Cartee) Drew returned to the Lord on Mothers' Day, May 12, 2024, in Snoqualmie, Washington. Kara was brought into this world by Jack and Kathy Cartee in Spokane, WA on August 14, 1970. Kara was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend to many. She graduated from Immaculate Conception School and Mount Vernon High School. She went on to become a stockbroker, graduating from Central Washington College.
Kara worked for Paine Webber as a stockbroker prior to becoming a momma. Her last position was as an executive assistant for Microsoft. Kara's closest companions were "Gizmo", her Yorkshire Terrier/Pomeranian doggy, and Peggy her beloved neighbor.
Kara loved her children and as they grew always attended their events in school. Recently she began Paddle boarding with her friend Deva, and then with her children. She was loved and treasured by many relatives, friends and work associates.
She is survived by her loving children Jackson Richard Drew and Marlee Rae Drew; her parents, Jack and Kathy Cartee; her brothers John Cartee, Matt Cartee, and sister-in-law, Liz Cartee; her aunts and uncles Linda and Bob Reimer, Betty and Jim Patterson, Roxanne and John Eixenberger, Mary and Doug Somers, Shawn and Debbie Cartee, Chuck and Teena Eixenberger, Duaine Cartee, Floyd and Tina Cartee, Pat Bentley, Elaine Cartee, Dawn Dufort, Jason Drew; Kara's cousins are: Natalie and Alex Litton, Elle and Rick Bartch, Kelly and Larry Gardner, Monica and Rob Aho, Andrew and Austin Dufort; Adam and Sydney Drew; Vickie and Dave Bolton, Jeff and Joyce Carlsen, Greg Carlsen, Robert and Jesse Reimer, TJ and Brynn Eixenberger, Emily and Ernesto Ruiz, Denny and Rosa Mason, Kim and Jay Nordstrom, Chad and Rachel Eixenberger, Christie and Eric Knudsvig, Marnie and Chris Hansen, Jason and Dallas Cartee, Chris Bentley and Bill Tashima, Mark and Debbie Bentley, Tylor and Trevor Cartee; Alicia Heyen, Stephanie Leopard, and many friends.
Kara had a cracker box personality and was a joy to know. She was loved and treasured by her children, her parents, relatives and friends. She will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, 12:15PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church followed by a reception at St. Joseph's Center.
