Karen Agnes (Sellereite) Kimsey passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Karen was born to Bernt and Lila (Thompson) Sellereite in Seattle, WA. She spent her life caring for others, working as a registered nurse and then in retirement visiting nursing homes and hospice patients with her certified therapy dog Tribble. She was an active member at Salem Lutheran Church participating in the senior lunches and helping to host receptions for memorial services.

She is survived by her daughters Lara Forbes, Leslie (Doug) Wescott, Leah Forbes, her grandchildren Jordan and Sarah McKiernan and Gauge Sannes, and her great granddaughters Brooklyn and Lila McKiernan. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth (Sharon) Sellereite.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Leslie Kimsey.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on January 14, 2023, at Salem Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon.
