Obituary

So often its written that when a loved one passes, they are surrounded by their family and friends.. this was entirely true for our mom we loved so much.

Karleen (Penny) Kay Sparrs passed away at her home July 7, 2023 with all her children there for her at side.

She was born May 25, 1943 to Shirley Flowers-Sparrs and Bernie Penley, and was a life long resident of Skagit Valley whom she was raised by Shirley and George Sparrs.

Penny was known as the best bartender (mixologist) in the valley and later worked at Skagit Valley College. Loved to play board games, mostly scrabble and camping when time allowed, as she mostly worked.  She was feisty and full of spirit.

She leaves behind 4 children Ken, Keith, Kirk Fellers and Michelle Taylor-Lofgren, Spouses, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.  All whom she loved dearly.

Our family will share an open house Celebration of her life August 28 from 1:00-4:00pm

Address: 1226 Fenske Lane Burlington, WA 98233, Her daughters house.

final words from our hearts:

Trust in the Lord with All your heart and do not lean on your Own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
