Katherine Theresa Francis, 68, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024, in Sedro-Woolley, WA surrounded by her family.  Kathy was born in Bonne Terre, MO on March 1, 1956, to Lester and Colleen Francis.

Kathy and her family moved to Washington state in 1957.  She was raised in Burlington, WA with her 3 younger brothers.  She graduated from Burlington Edison High School in 1974.  After graduation she attended Skagit Valley College and worked for Bendix.  She began working at the Texaco Refinery and remained employed there until she retired.

Katherine had many hobbies and interests outside of her career.  She loved raising animals and riding horses when she was younger.  She enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and gardening.  She also enjoyed collecting and dealing in antiques.  Kathy was a member of 4H in her youth and an active member of the Soroptimist's in her later years.  Kathy always made a point to remember everyone's birthday and was known for her unique gift ideas.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Colleen Francis.  She is survived by her brothers Lester (Lorrie) Francis, Jeffrey (Tami) Francis, and Jerry Francis.  She is also survived by her nieces Amber Sweet, Jamie Dotson, Jennifer Carter, Jessica Walker, and Trish Hovin as well as many great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 1:00pm at Grennhills Cemetery in Burlington, WA.
