Obituary

Katherine Ann Schneekloth of Mount Vernon, Washington passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Kathi was born in Seattle Washington on June 23, 1945 to Marguerite Rodgers and Arthur Faribanks. After graduating from Blanchet High School, she attended Cabrini Hospital School for Nursing. In 1968, Kathi married Douglas John Schneekloth and they moved to Mount Vernon. There, they shared a long and happy life together. Kathi was known for her compassion. She spent her entire career working as a Registered Nurse. Outside work, she enjoyed riding motorcycles throughout the Pacific Northwest with her family. Kathi was a member of Skagit Valley Riders Motorcycle Club, Skagit Motorcycle Club and a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association. Kathi was also an advocate for others struggling in her community, particularly those diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. Her goal was to offer support and reduce the stigma of the disease. She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Jackson-Schneekloth; son, Dean Schneekloth (Tiffany Udman); her grandchildren, Devan Jackson, Gabriel Jackson (Olivia Eide), Trey Kennebrew, Noa Schneekloth, and Henry Schneekloth; and great-grandchild Niyelah Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband Doug, sister Darleen Evans, and brother Rod Fairbanks. Kathi’s funeral mass will be held on June 5th at 11:OO am (viewing 10:00am) at Immaculate Conception Church (224-498 North 15th Street) in Mount Vernon, WA 98273. Following mass, a graveside service will be at Hawthorne Funeral Home & Memorial Park located in Mount Vernon. Afterward, the family would like you to join them to celebrate Kathi’s life nearby at Hillcrest Park for coffee and lunch.
