Kathleen "Kathy" Gladys Anderson, 71, was received into Jesus' loving arms on April 2nd, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer. Her strong devotion to her family and her firm belief in God guided her through this journey and ultimately gave her peace. Born on May 17th, 1943 in Seattle, Washington to Keith and Myrtle Mahler, Kathy grew up in Seattle and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Soon thereafter in 1963, she met and married the love of her life, Charles Anderson. They spent 52 wonderful years together making their home and raising their children in Shoreline. Kathy was employed by the Shoreline School District and later she and Charles retired to Burlington, spending time traveling with their Royal Travelers Good Sam RV Club and camping with their family. Kathy adored animals of all kind, and loved working as a volunteer at the Woodland Park Zoo. She was especially partial to her horses and dogs. Kathy was most passionate about her family. This love was displayed raising their two children in a godly home with patience, love, and humility. Kathy was preceded in death by both her mother and father. She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter Kim (Eric) Sano; son Bill (Tammy) Anderson; grandchildren Brandon (Kayla) Sano, Alex Sano, Arianna Sano, Faith Anderson, Carson Anderson, and Caleb Anderson; her brother Keith (Mary) Mahler, and her sister Marilyn Allers.
