Kathleen "Kitty" Marie Jones, 80, passed away peacefully in Mount Vernon, WA on December 10, 2021.  Kitty was born on November 11, 1941, in Medford, OR to Delmer and Mae Jones.  She was their oldest of 4 children, having 3 very active younger brothers within the next 6 years.

When Kitty was 8 years old her family moved to Corning, CA where her dad worked for Crane Mills Logging in the woods.

Kitty was married to Walter Kreps and had 3 children: Edward Earl, Terri Marie, and Jamie Elaine.

Kitty had many jobs in the Corning area.  Among them she worked in a mill, she ran a jack hammer for the water district and in the 1970's she attended beauty school.

After leaving California to move to Washington in 1973, Kitty began a relationship with the love of her life, Ivan "Sonny" Jones.  The two were together until he passed in 2012.

Sonny and Kitty worked for Grabber Screw Company for many years.  They worked at the east coast branch as well as branches outside of Seattle, WA and San Francisco, CA.  Kitty enjoyed being a part of a Grabber crew that was sent to Japan for business.

When they retired Sonny and Kitty bought their dream home in Gold Beach, Oregon where they enjoyed gardening, canning all sorts of things, raising chickens and other fowl, beach combing and making many trips to Central Oregon where they kept up with all the family history and genealogy.  Kitty worked as a home healthcare worker in the Gold Beach area for a while.

After Sonny's death, Kitty moved to Mount Vernon, WA to be closer to her family. Never knowing a stranger, she was loved by everyone she met at Life Care Center when she moved there.  They said she was the life of Life Care Center.

Kitty was preceded in death by her father, Delmer Jones; mother, Mae Jones; husband, Sonny Jones; brother, Delwin Jones; stepson, Kelly Jones and stepdaughter, Terri Jones.  She is survived by 2 brothers, Dennis (Kellie) Jones of Petersburg, AK and Darrell (Graceanne) Jones of Oregon; her 3 children, Ed ( Lorraine) Kreps of Oak Harbor, WA, Terri Aldridge of Montana, and Jamie (Kevin) Mack of Oak Harbor, WA; stepson, Brian (Marichu) Jones of Yakima; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-children.

Kitty was full of vim and vigor and life.  As her brother Dennis put it, "She was like a volcano going off everywhere she went."  It is hard to put into words what a wonderful person Kitty was.  She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

At her request, there will be no funeral service.
