Lawrence H Draper, 81, of Mount Vernon, WA passed away peacefully on January 15, 2019. Lawrence was born on May 21, 1937 in Seattle, WA. He was raised in Woodinville and lived there until he joined the US Navy in 1960. Lawrence married Eleanor King in 1961 and they had two children; Deane and Tina Draper. After retiring from the Navy in 1975 Lawrence owned and operated Touch of Skagit in Mount Vernon for 20 years. In 1983 he married Helen Davey (Copeland). They were married for 34 years until Helen's passing in 2017.
Lawrence had many hobbies including gardening, traveling to Hawaii, watching football, and he had a love for animals.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Bertha Draper; first wife Eleanor Draper; second wife Helen Draper; grandson Jeremy Draper; and stepdaughter Cathy Ruschmann. He is survived by his children Deane Draper and Tina Draper; his stepdaughters Becky Howard, Diane Zapatta, and Carrie Van Hoven. He is also survived by two grandchildren Carter and Tanner Draper.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00am at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA.
