Linda Ann Sheridan, 75, of Burlington, WA passed away peacefully at Life Care Center in Mt. Vernon on May 4, 2021, after a courageous 16-month battle with melanoma.

Linda was born January 4, 1946, in Mt. Vernon, WA to Helmer and Helen Pearson.  She was the youngest of six children.  She attended Mt. Vernon schools, graduating from MVHS in 1964.  She married David Dennis in 1965 and they welcomed their first child Mark in 1966.  In 1971, they welcomed their second child Greg into the family.

In 1982, Linda married Michael Sheridan and they remained together until his passing in 2005.

Linda held a few jobs in her life, most notably for her was as a dispatcher for the Burlington Police Department.  But to everybody else that knew her, her greatest accomplishments were that of a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend.

Linda's family meant the world to her.  She loved to be the life of the party.  She enjoyed making people laugh (usually at her own expense).  She was always there for those that needed her.  She never met a stranger.

Linda is survived by her two sons, Mark Dennis and Greg Dennis and her grandchildren Braden Dennis, Jacob Dennis, Ellie Dennis, and Sophia Dennis.  She is also survived by two sisters Betty Plachta and Marilyn Dalseg (Roger), brother in-law Bill Blackburn, sister in-law Carol Pearson, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents Helmer and Helen, her husband Michael, her sisters Doris Blackburn and Lois Dennis, brother Glen Pearson, as well as brothers in-law Joe Plachta and Eldon Dennis.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 12 at 2:00pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, WA.  A reception will follow after.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
