Lois Agnes McManus Lois was born January 3, 1924 in Tacoma, WA to Ernest and Ruth Bundy; she passed away peacefully November 30, 2009 at Mountain Glen. Lois graduated from Ballard High School in 1942. Shortly after she enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard as a SPAR, stationed in Florida and New London, CT. She married John McManus January 15, 1949 in Seattle. They made their family home in Ballard until Lois moved to Mount Vernon in 2008. She was an avid Mariner's fan, she loved Pinochle and any card game, trivia ( watching Jeopardy) and especially loved her family (Sending everyone a birthday card). She had a very active life at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son: Michael (Debbie) McManus of Mount Vernon; grandchildren: Matthew McManus of Bellingham, Daniel McManus of Albuquerque, NM, and Luke McManus of Bellingham; step-grandchildren: Joel (Angela) Pratt of Mount Vernon, Jason (Heather) Pratt of Clear Lake, and Bridget (Matt) Meece of Sedro Woolley; great-grandchildren: Brennan Todd of Mesa, AZ, Addison and Maya Pratt of Mount Vernon, Keegan Pratt of Clear Lake, and Lydia Meece of Sedro Woolley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband: John, and her brother: Russell. A Celebration of Lois' life will be held Friday, December 11, 2009, 11:30 am at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Ballard, followed by a reception at the church. Lois was buried, in a private service, next to her husband John at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery.
