Lora Louise Newman, 86, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023 in Mount Vernon, WA.

Louise was a lifetime Skagit Valley resident. She worked at Skagit Regional Hospital for 47 years and still holds the record for longest-serving employee.

She was an avid quilter, gardener, walker and cat lover.

She is survived by her daughter Carrie (John) and two grandchildren, Darris and Delaney.

There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, WA.
