Loren Dale Estell at age 91, passed away comfortably on June 29, 2020 in Kennewick, Washington.  He was born on February 9th, 1929 to Joseph and Maude (Harrison) Estell in Orleans, Indiana.

Loren, who was known as "Dale" to his friends and family, joined the Navy at the age of 18 after graduating from high school.  He enlisted in the Naval Construction Battalion where he also played Basketball all over the world, even having an opportunity to play a game with the Harlem Globetrotters.

In 1950, Dale married the love of his life Dolores Jean (Brighten) (Bunker). Soon their family grew with 5 children, 4 sons and 1 daughter. Dale loved spending time fishing and hunting with his children. Dale always worked hard to provide for his family which meant working 2 jobs most of his life. His full-time job of 38 years was as a truck driver for Carnation Dairy hauling dairy products to grocery stores in the Seattle area. At the same time Dale was a mechanic at the local service station. Dale loved to teach his sons and daughter the ins and outs of mechanics. After retirement Dale continued his passion for engine servicing by starting a small engine repair shop that he continued to the age of 87 years old. We guess the Lord needed a good mechanic.

Dale's life was marked with a life of service, first to his country, family and neighbors. Dale loved to help people in their time of need.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife Dolores, 2nd wife Dolores "Dee" (Vickers) (Nash), his sons Eddie, Gary, his daughter DeeAnn (Reynolds) and his dear friend Dorothy (Chapman). He is survived by his children Ronald (Debbie) Pasco, WA, and Brian (Marcia) Brier, WA, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
