Obituary

Loren Frank O'Neal Loren Frank O'Neal died unexpectedly on July 8, 2011, at home in Mount Vernon, WA. He was born June 4, 1960, in Watseka, Illinois. After starting high school at Bitburg American High School, Bitburg Air Force Base, Germany, he graduated from Washington High School in Parkland, WA, in 1978 and attended Pacific Lutheran University, participating in ROTC at University of Puget Sound. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Elmendorf AFB, AK, Phoenix, AZ and McChord AFB, WA. He was employed as a radiologic technician. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0043 in Sedro Woolley, WA and his professional organization. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, kayaking, hiking and reading. He was a kind and caring person who loved his family and was always ready to serve others. He had a wry sense of humor and never met a pun he didn't enjoy. He is survived by his parents, Edward and Susan Evans of Port Orchard, WA, Leslie and Alison O'Neal of Fairview Heights, IL, brothers Owen (Vickie), Austin (Esther) and Nayland (Amye) O'Neal, sisters Vonnie Evans and Deon O'Neal and seven nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011, 1:00 PM, at First Christian Church in Tacoma. Interment will be at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Donations suggested to ASPCA.
