Obituary

Lucille Crofoot (Kison) 79 of Mount Vernon Washington passed away at home with her family by her side on September 24, 2010. Lucille was born October 15, 1930 in Pasadena California to Muriel and William Dixon, and was preceded in death by her husband Al Crofoot and grandson Nick Kison. She is survived by son's Alan (Connie) and Gary (Colleen) Kison, daughter Jenny (John) Gunther, granddaughter Shannon Kison, step family Jerry (Judy) Crofoot and Linda (Brian) Miller. Grandkids Noah, Jacob, Mike, Misty, Anita, Eric, and great grandkids Lindsey, Mitch, Jessie, Julia, and Cora; sister Barbara Peterson, cousin Doris (Einar) Heyntsen; special friends June, Margaret, Dan and Denise. Lucille enjoyed gardening, crafts, card parties with friends, traveling (cruises especially) volunteering at the senior center, sewing, and senior Tuesday's at the casino. Lucille was an inspiration to the cancer survivors group with an upbeat and positive attitude. She enjoyed many cancer survivor annual luncheons. A special thanks to the staff at Skagit Regional Care Center, especially Dr. Gjerset for the many years of wonderful care she received there. The entire staff was so special to Lucille. A memorial service will be held at 1PM, Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Hawthorne Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will follow the service.
