Lucille Mary Ponce, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024 at the age of 70.

Born on February 19, 1954 in Alamosa, Colorado, Lucille lived a life filled with love for her family and friends. She met the love of her life, Jaime Ponce Cervantes, in 1974 and together they raised their daughter Melisa Galanti.

A devoted mother, Godmother and Comadre  Lucille's greatest joy came from her family. She also cherished every moment spent working their vineyard they planted several years ago. Her warm smile, generous spirit, and words of wisdom will be dearly missed.

Lucille had a passion for dancing with Jaime and was the first one on the dance floor and almost the last one to leave. Her love for dance brought joy and energy to every gathering, and she inspired others to join in the fun.

In addition to being an amazing matriarch, Lucille was a loyal friend who showered her loved ones with kindness and support. She had a gift for making others feel special and cared for deeply. Her optimistic outlook was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Lucille is survived by her husband Jaime Ponce Cervantes, daughter Melisa Galanti, grandchildren Brooke Galanti, Naomi Galanti, and Jazmin Covarrubias, great-grandson Marcus Jay Covarrubias, siblings Anita Zephier, John Silva, and Margaret Perez, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Odelia Charlotte Silva.

A celebration of Lucille's life will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 12:00pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, WA.
