Luella Rarick Luella was born March 21, 1930, at Everson, Washington, to William and Louise Rarick. She passed away Friday, April 9, 2010, at Harborview Hospital in Seattle, leaving an empty place in our hearts. In her junior year at Nooksack Valley High School she began working part time at the bank in Everson, where she continued to work after graduating in 1947. She then moved to Bellingham and worked at Pacific American Fisheries for several years. Her next move was to a position at Texaco Puget Sound Plant, Anacortes, where she was soon advanced to Administrative Assistant. According to some individuals, she "ran" the plant. Luella worked with several plant managers during her 33 years there, had a private office decorated according to her wishes, with red carpeting and a red typewriter to match. In 1985 she moved to Camano Island. She retired in 1993. God was at the center of Luella's life. She loved people and was very involved with family and lots of forever friends. She currently attended Stanwood Foursquare Church. She is survived by two sisters, Estella (Russ) Allen, Camano Island, and Shirley (John) Tollefson, Mount Vernon, a special niece, Shanna (Tim) Brooks, their two daughters, Chelsee and Kayla, Smokey Point; and a special nephew, Jeff (Jill) Tollefson, their 2 children, Travis and Morgan. Services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010, as follows: Graveside at 11 am at Hawthorne Memorial Park, 1825 E. College Way, Mount Vernon, followed by a memorial service at 1 pm at Stanwood Foursquare Church, 27007 - 90th Ave NW, Stanwood.
