Maizie A. Redden age 88, passed away October 30, 2015 at Prestige Nursing Home in Burlington, WA. She was born July 13, 1927 in Sacramento, CA to her parents Augustus and Betty Seguin. She went to school there and graduated from Whittier High School. She met and married Claude Redden on February 14, 1946 and they had 2 children Jan and Gregory. Claude passed away in 1996 in Texas and in 2000 her daughter Jan transferred her to Skagit County to be close to her. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, crocheting, baking, and reading. She loved being a nurse, taking care of people and animals. Maizie was a leader for the Campfire Girls, Girl Scouts and Brownies. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude A. Redden, Her parents Augustus and Betty Seguin, sisters Mary Hughes, Florence Cox, Ruthie Seguin and brother Ray Seguin. She is survived by her daughter Jan Eastbrook and son in law Steven Eastbrook, son Greg Redden, granddaughter Veronica Link and her husband Brad Link, grandsons Jake and Joel Redden and great granddaughter Trinity Link. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 2:00 p.m. at Prestige Care 1036 E Victoria Ave, Burlington WA.
