Obituary

Capt. Malcolm Munsey, USN retired, departed for Eternal Patrol August 8 th from his home in Anacortes, WA.  While he did command a deep draft skimmer at one point (USS White Plains) his heart was proudly that of a diesel submariner.  He served on Cavalla, Bonefish and had command of Blueback.  In retirement he was a respected marine surveyor, specializing in  wooden boats.  As president of the Board of Trustees of the Steamer Virginia V Foundation he led the project that restored the historic Mosquito Fleet vessel.  Muns is survived by his beloved wife, Connie, sons Robert, Bradford and Jacob, stepdaughter Allison, and 7 grandchildren.

A dockside memorial will take place October 1, 2016 at 1PM aboard the Steamer Virginia V .  A cruise for those wishing will follow from 3 to 5 pm.   As space is very limited please call 360.770.6581 to RSVP and for details of the event.
