Obituary

Sadly, Marjorie unexpectedly passed away Monday, January 23 rd , 2023.

Marjorie was the daughter of Robert and Ruth Wade, she was born in Mount Vernon, WA on September 17 th , 1946. She was raised in Burlington and graduated from Burlington-Edison High school in 1964. She attended business school after graduation and worked for various businesses until her retirement. She spent most of her adult years living and working in Skagit County.

Marjorie loved to travel and took several cruises enjoying the beauty of Mexico and Alaska's inside passage. She visited London, Paris, and Costa Rica. She traveled the Alcan Highway to Alaska stopping at many interesting places along the way.

Marjorie had a love for gardening and worked endlessly in her yard. She often shared the beautiful flowers she grew with friends and neighbors. She was also a great cook, and many delicious meals were shared around her table. But the best was the wonderful pies she made!

Marjorie had many acquaintances throughout her life, some becoming lifelong friends. Rudy and Annie were her two much loved dogs that she rescued.

She is survived by her sister, Janice Coburn (Richard Lemmon) and special cousins Laurene Cabe and Beverly Vanderpool, both who played an important part in her life along with other dear cousins and friends.

A memorial will be held for Marjorie Thursday, June 8 th at 1:30 pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home in the Reception Room. 1825 E. College Was, Mount Vernon, WA.
