Martha Kay Hesseltine was born on March 7, 1941 to Silas and Effie Williams in Arcola, Illinois. She moved to Mount Vernon, Washington in 1961. Martha married the love of her life Edward Hesseltine in 1962. She passed away August 22, 2022 at Skagit Valley Hospital.

She is survived by her children, Denise Minor (Jim), Dawn Kammenga (Rich), Tina Hesseltine, Wade Hesseltine and Steven Brewer.  She has 3 grandchildren- Parker and Jen Minor,  Amy Kammenga, and 1 great grandson- Gibson. She also leaves behind beloved dog, Gizmo, and dozens of close friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Silas and Effie, her brother Jerry, and her husband Edward.

Martha worked for many years at Mira Vista Care Center, and enjoyed attending church, calling friends and family to check in daily, and caring for others however she could.

Graveside services will be held at Hawthorn Cemetery in Mount Vernon, WA on September 12, 2022 at 1:00pm.
