Obituary

Mary Alice (Clark) Ensley, 72, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley, gained her heavenly wings and went to live eternally with her lord and savior on January 1, 2022.

Mary was born on November 4, 1949, in O'Neill, Nebraska; to her parents Neil and Edith (Trussell) Clark. She was raised in O'Neill, NE until her family moved to Skagit County at the age of 5, settling in Sedro Woolley. She attended school in Sedro Woolley and graduated in the class of 1968.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sarah Thornhill and grandchildren Emily & Ethan Eacret, all of Sedro-Woolley, Washington, daughter, Samantha Coffelt (Cory Sr.) and their four children, Carter, Cory Jr, Sydny, and Sadie all of Centerton, Arkansas, Great-Granddaughter Blakely Riggles; sister Sandra Rude and aunt Verna Woodrum both of Mount Vernon, Washington, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.  Mary was preceded in death by her brother Benni Clark, son-in-law Scott Thornhill, as well as her parents.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Harold Thornbrough and the congregation of Valley Baptist Church in Sedro Woolley, WA. Mary has been an active member of Valley Baptist Church for over 40 years. If the doors were open, she was there. In her younger years she often played chauffeur to anyone needing a ride to church, played an active role in vacation bible school, and was always first in line for a Southern potluck.

Our family would also like to thank our mothers' caregivers Lisa & Jacki who helped provided her much needed in-home care, compassion, and friendship over the years which allowed her to stay in her home as long as possible.

A celebration of life will be held at Valley Baptist Church, Sedro Woolley, WA on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 11:00am with a graveside to follow Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 1:00pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA.  A reception will follow the graveside service in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
