Obituary

Mavis Fay Dosch Mavis, age 85, passed away at Where There Heart Is, in Burlington, WA on April 23, 2014. She was born to Louis and Ella Linde on February, 12, 1929 in Bottineau County, North Dakota. She graduated from York City Schools in 1947. Mavis married Jack C. Dosch on October 4, 1947 and they had 59 wonderful years together until his passing in March of 2006. Jack and Mavis moved from North Dakota to Burlington, WA in 1955. Mavis was well known as a bank teller and loan officer in Burlington for 32 years. She retired from Rainier Bank in June of 1988. Mavis enjoyed ice skating, basketball, ceramics, gardening, swimming/water aerobics, and playing bingo at the Swinomish Casino. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends and loving family. Mavis is survived by her children: Fred and Diane Dosch of Sedro-Woolley, Jack and Michelle Dosch of Surprise, Arizona, Patty and Bill Ling of Anacortes: 7 grandchildren; Michael, Rachel, Joe, Jacob, Stephanie, Sable Lee and Sabrina: 17 great-grandchildren: 3 brothers; Wallace (Joan) Linde of Fargo, North Dakota, Marvin (Carol) Linde of Billings, Mt., Louie (Phyllis) Linde of Rice, MN, 1 sister; Lillian Koffler of Kimberly, WI,; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Pumpkin. Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, her brother Percy Linde, and her sister Videll Senger. We will always remember our Mother with her warm smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She was generous, caring and the sweetest person ever. The family expresses a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Where the Heart Is in Burlington for the loving care they have provided their mother over the past few years. Also thank you to Hospice of the Northwest for their kind services and support. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 2, 2014, 2:00 pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in Mavis's name to the Alzheimer's Association on their website or mailed to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington D.C. 20090-6011.
