Michael Brian D'Amico

Michael “Mike” Brian D’Amico, 67, of Anacortes, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2026.

Mike was born on May 23, 1959, in Mount Vernon, Washington, to Janet and Sam D’Amico. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1977, where he wrestled and created memories that stayed with him throughout his life.

On January 22, 1983, Mike married the love of his life, Kathy D’Amico. Together, they shared 43 years of marriage and built a life centered around their family. Kathy was his wife, his best friend, and the love of his life. Mike’s passing came just 24 days after losing Kathy, and while their family is heartbroken by their loss, there is comfort in knowing that they are together again.

Mike spent most of his working career in produce sales. He was also a true handyman who could fix, build, or figure out just about anything. If something needed to be repaired, Mike was the person you called. He was always willing to lend a hand and help those around him.

Mike loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing in the Puget Sound, as well as hunting and camping in Eastern Washington. Whether he was out on the water, in the woods, or simply spending time with the people he loved, he found happiness in the simple things and the moments that made lasting memories.

Above all else, Mike was a devoted family man. He adored his grandchildren and took great joy in being their grandpa. His family knew that no matter what they needed, Mike would be there. He was the kind of dad who never hesitated to show up, lend a hand, fix something, offer advice, or simply be there when you needed him. His love was steady, dependable, and unconditional.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Christina Huffman (TJ Huffman); his son, Travis D’Amico (Brandy Mogan and her children, Aaliyah and Alex Magana); his grandchildren, Hailey Huffman and Brody Huffman; his mother, Janet D’Amico; his brother, Duane D’Amico, and his sister Patty McClain.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy D’Amico; his father, Sam D’Amico; and his brother, Greg D’Amico.

Mike’s unexpected passing has left an immeasurable hole in the hearts of his family and everyone who loved him. He will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to help, his love of the outdoors, his incredible ability to fix just about anything, and most of all, for being a husband, dad and grandpa who was always there.

His family will forever cherish the memories they made with him and carry his love with them every day.
