Obituary

Michael Fleming passed away on January 27, 2024, in Mount Vernon, WA.

He was born on June 15, 1942, in Phoenix, AZ to Lawrence and Gladys Fleming. Mike attended West High School, Phoenix College, and Arizona State University, where he met Rosemary Cain. They married on September 3, 1965, and had 45 years together before her death in 2010. They lived in Phoenix and raised two children, Tom and Jenni.

He started and ran a private Investigation and Attorney Services business in Phoenix until his retirement. Mike was a private pilot and enjoyed flying all over the country.

After retirement, Mike and Rosemary moved to San Juan Island, WA, where he enjoyed being close to grandchildren and sailing. After Rosemary's death, Mike moved back to his beloved Cherry, Arizona. He lived there until 2021, when he moved back to San Juan Island to be with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Gladys, His wife Rosemary, his brother Larry and granddaughter Madison.

He is survived by his son Tom (Kate), daughter Jenni (Mark), grandchildren Scott, Claire, Brian, Allie and Tyler, as well as brother and sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial open house will be held at VFW Post 720, 4853 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix on April 19th from 5:00-8:00pm, followed by a private service at the family cemetery in Cherry, AZ.            Donations in his name can be made to the Phoenix Trolley Museum.
