Michael “Mike” Edward McDonald was born May 28, 1953 in Anacortes, WA, to U.L “Mick” & Mary Barcott McDonald. He grew up and spent the rest of his life in Mt. Vernon, WA.
He loved playing & watching sports, especially the Raiders.
He loved all music, especially The Beatles & his big sister Kathi McDonald, blues singer. He was a loyal friend and always ready with a witty response.
He and Robin enjoyed camping & spending time with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Survived by; Robin Burger, his girlfriend of 26 years, his niece, Erin McDonald Turner of Tucson, AZ, grand-nieces Taylah Moore of San Diego, CA, Veronica Moore Thijm of Long Prairie, MN, grand-nephews Jordan Moore & Gabe Moore, both of Seattle, WA, and countless cousins in Anacortes, WA.
Mike will be missed by family & his large circle of friends.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 29th, 2026, 2:00pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park with a reception to follow in the Hathorne Reception Room.
