Mickey, the son of Jacob and Pearl Greenberg, died on December 19, 2019 at 93 years of age.  He was born in San Francisco, California on February 27, 1926.  He passed away in his sleep at his private apartment at the Creekside Assisted Living facility in Washington State.  On December 10 ^th he entered hospice care as his health had rapidly deteriorated.  As he requested, he will be cremated.

He is survived by 3 step-sons, Tom Thayer, Ted (Stephanie) Thayer, and Erik (Deborah) Pedersen.  He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Sean Thayer, Christopher Thayer [and their mother Barbara Fairbanks], Amanda Thayer, and Gunnar Pedersen.

Mickey had a successful career as an aerospace engineer.  He served in the Navy in both World War II and the Korean War.  He met Darlene Pedersen in the mid 1960's and they wed in 1968, the marriage lasting 50 years.  Darlene and Mickey traveled extensively and were active in their church and local activities.  Mickey founded Creative Life Science in the San Diego area and served as the minister for many years.
