Mona M. Thomason was born on December 18, 1931, in Outlook, WA. She graduated from Ferndale High School, Class of 1949. She married David L. Thomason on July 06, 1951, daughter Sherry was born in February 1954 and their son Dennis was born June 1955.

Mona had many hobbies which included knitting, crocheting, quilting, and rug hooking. Mona taught the art of rug hooking, occasionally locally, and for several years annually in Rockaway Beach, Oregon. She was also very active at Burlington First Baptist Church. Mona is survived by daughter Sherry (Les) Nipp, son Dennis (Donna) Thomason, 3 Grandchildren; Stephanie (Erik) Lamb, Justin (Amy) Thomason, then Lindsay (Cody) Logan; 6 Great grandchildren, Ava & Alexandria Lamb, Jacob & Riley Thomason, Max & Amelie Logan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by husband David Thomason; three sisters Leta, Faye, and Neva; and brother-in-law Glen Thomason.

Memorials can be made to Seattle Children's Hospital (granddaughter Lindsay and great granddaughter Amelie were beneficiaries of their excellent care). As well as Burlington First Baptist Church.

A family graveside service will be held Friday, April 29, 2022, at 2:00pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA.
