Nancy Lea Cleave, 66, a life long resident of Mount Vernon died Wednesday August 6 at Harborview Hospital in Seattle. She was born October 26, 1947. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1965. She then attended and graduated as a Dental Assistant in Seattle. Nancy then began working as an Escrow Officer, primarily at Land Title. She retired in 2004. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon. She was a member of Mortgage Women and PEO Chapter H. For years, Nancy hosted students, attending Skagit Valley College through the Japanese Foreign Exchange Program. Nancy is survived by one sister, Mary Cleave, two brothers and sister-in-laws, Richard (Ruby) Cleave and David (Barbara) Cleave, as well as a large extended family. Additionally, she is survived by her kitties and many dear friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Marjorie Cleave and a sister Ann At her request there will be no services.
