Orvalle "Mac" Huseby, 93, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2021, in Sedro-Woolley, WA.  Mac was born on October 3, 1928, in Newman Grove, Nebraska.  He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1945 and joined the Navy after high school where he was stationed in the Philippines and played on the Navy basketball team.

Mac married Mabel Slaughter on June 16 of 1956 and they were married for 64 years until her death in September of 2020. He was a partner in Sound Beverage Distributors and worked there until his retirement.

Mac had many interests and hobbies.  He was an avid golfer and spent many days at Skagit Valley Country Club.  He also enjoyed fishing, barbequing salmon that he caught, and spending time with his family.  Mac was a member First Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon, WA.

Mac was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Huseby and his parents Oscar and Sarah Huseby.  He is survived by his daughter Karen Scaggs and her husband Larry of Tehachapi, Ca.  Daughter Diane Huseby of Kenmore, WA, grandsons Dallas (Victoria) Scaggs of San Diego, CA, Dalton (Katelyn) Scaggs of Tehachapi, CA and great granddaughter Scarlett Ava of San Diego.
