Patricia Rosedale Carpentier, 87, of Mount Vernon, Washington, passed away on February 22, 2024 after a short illness. Patricia, "Pat", was born on December 1, 1936 to Harry and Edna Rosedale in Monrovia California. After graduating from Monrovia high school in, 1954, she married Augustine, "Bud" Pelos in 1955. They went on to have three children, Regina Nanette, Alison Kimberly and Belinda Diane. A second marriage to Lawrence Carpentier produced a son, Roger Lawrence.

During her working years, Pat trained and worked as a psychiatric nurse at Lanterman State Hospital. She was dedicated to serving the children and teens who were on the ward she worked. Pat was also a passionate horticulturist. When she wasn't leading Girl Scout troops or at a PTA meeting, she could be found in her yard or giving her time and talent to the community planting trees and flowers.

Pat also loved road trips and was always up for adventure. She often would say "observe the beauty of nature" while driving down the road. She also loved world travel and has visited many countries including Tasmania, Egypt, and India.

Even as mobility became less and less, Pat always had plants and plenty of seed for the birds right outside her picture window. We will miss her greatly! Pat was predeceased by her parents, her sister Arlitha Wentz, brother Harry Rosedale Jr. and both spouses. She is survived by her brother Lance Rosedale, her four children, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice of the Northwest in Mount Vernon Washington, they were a blessing to her in the end.

A memorial is to be held at Big Lake Community Church, 23684 Dalacey Ln, Mount Vernon, WA 98274 on Saturday May 4th, at 11:00am.  Please RSVP if you would like to join us for a potluck luncheon after the service.
