Patricia "Pat" Yvonne Dahl Patricia Yvonne Dahl, 88, lifelong resident of Skagit County, passed away January 25, 2013, at the Whatcom Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 1, 1924, in Burlington to McKinley and Frankie (Watkinson) Loop. Soon after graduating from Burlington High School, Pat married Norman Dahl, the love of her life, and they were blessed with 68 years of marriage and seven children. Family was the center of Pat's world, and she never missed the opportunity to surround herself with them. She was a warm, loving mother and grandmother who led by example in every thing she did, passing along her valuable experiences and knowledge to each of them. Pat was very gifted in her creative abilities. She especially enjoyed knitting, having knitted an item for just about every family member and friend she knew. Pat demonstrated her loyalty to the community by her involvement with the Patricia Hulbert Guild at Seattle Children's Hospital and the United General Hospital Auxiliary. Pat will always be remembered for her hospitality and the comfortable and lively gatherings at her home; she will be admired for her ageless, vibrant beauty and sense of style, her dignity, and the pride she instilled in every aspect of her life. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Norman; and other family members: Melvin Peterson, Ernie Dahl, Bud and Charlotte Dahl, Ione and Howard Taylor, Dorothy Oswold, Doris Dahl, Juanita Dahl, and Katherine Brandstrom. She is survived by her seven children and spouses: Diane and Warren Bingham of Bow, Reg and Tina Dahl of West Richland, Rod and Susan Dahl of Bay View, Debby Randall of Bellingham, Ron and Sue Dahl of Ferndale, Darla and Mike Binder of Bow, and Darcee and Harold Burdick of Bellingham; her 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, soon to be five! Pat is also survived by her loving sister Wanda Peterson, sisters-in-law Janet Dahl and Geneva Sasnett and brothers-in-law Loren Dahl (Joan) and Tom Oswold. Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. You were so special to so many. We will miss your wonderful smile and warm heart. We will love you always and forever. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 2, 2013, 2:00 pm at St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington followed by a reception at the church.
