It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Patricia Yvonne (Robinson) Self, on January 3, 2025.

Pat was born on August 31, 1936, in Des Moines, Washington. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and loving spirit.

Growing up in the Seattle area, Pat moved to Sedro Woolley in the late 1940s. She attended Sedro Woolley High School, graduating in 1954 with a letter in debate. In July 1954, she married Earl Self, and they made their home in Skagit County, moving to Sedro Woolley in 1970. Pat worked at Skagit State Bank in the bookkeeping department for several years before joining her husband in the trucking business. She drove a pilot car for many years, retiring only in her 70s.

Pat will be lovingly remembered by her children, Terry (Larry) Adkerson and Liz (Dan) Peterson. She is reunited in rest with her husband of 63 years, Earl, her son Raymond Self, and her daughter Valerie Cook. Pat leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Spending time with her family brought her immense joy.

In retirement, Pat helped Earl run Earl and Pat's Greenhouse, known for growing great tomato plants, until his passing in 2017. Together, they enjoyed many fishing trips and family vacations throughout their 63 years together.

Pat's legacy is one of unyielding kindness, love of family, animals (especially birds), and football (particularly the Seahawks).

Services will be held on January 10, 2025, at 3 pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park in Mount Vernon, Washington. A short church service will follow at 4 pm at Community Church in Sedro Woolley, Washington.
