Obituary

Patrick David Hodgman, 63. On November 1, 2017 Pat passed away peacefully at home after a battle with ALS that was fought with dignity and grace. He was born August 3,1954 to Mary Ellen Hodgman and Rolland Hodgman.

Pat attended Mount Vernon Schools and graduated from MVHS in 1972. In 1973 he met Lora, the love of his life and in 1975 they were married. They have two children Heather Hodgman and David Hodgman.

Pat grew up and worked on his Grandfathers farm in Edison. He then worked in the plywood industry in his early 20's then switched to the boat building industry. Pat worked at Bayliner in Arlington for 18 years then moved on to Northern Marine in Anacortes for many years until his retirement.

Pat was a member of the Skagit Motorcyle Club for over 20 years. His love of riding motorcycles started at the age of 12.

The other love of his life was Walker Valley. The amount of hours Pat spent on maintaining motorcycle riding trails is staggering. Rain or shine he would be there with all the tools it took to maintain the riding trails. Pat recently received an award from the DNR as VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR for all his dedication and hard work for over 30 years to help keep Walker Valley's motorcycle trails open and safe for others to ride.

Pat is survived by his wife Lora of 42 years, daughter Heather and son David. Mother Mary Ellen Hodgman and brother Michael Hodgman. Brother and sister in law, Dan and Blanche Ellis. In laws Les and Ruth Ellis.

He is preceded in death by his father Rolland Hodgman, brother Terry Hodgman and Grandparents Lawrence and Winifred Edwards.

At Pat's request there will be no service.
