Paul Berube, 78, of Mount Vernon, WA passed away peacefully on December 3, 2021. Paul was born on November 9, 1943, in Nashua, NH. Paul was the oldest of five children. He lived in Japan and France and several states growing up as he was in an Air Force family. He graduated from Yamato High school in Japan and went on to graduate from Indiana University with a business degree. He was drafted into the army and served in Vietnam. Upon returning he moved to Seattle and began his retail sales career. He married his loving wife of 50 years and they had one daughter. He loved hiking, backpacking, boating, skeet shooting and woodworking. He was a family man and loved many family trips especially to Ross Lake. He also loved time spent with his large extended family and was very close with his 4 brothers and sisters. Upon retirement he enjoyed volunteering at the local food bank.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Betty Berube. He is survived by his wife, Ginny, daughter Samantha MacDonald, son in law Rick, grandchildren Ben, Maya and Ellie. His brother Marc Berube, sister's Judy Easterly, Donna McIntyre, Sandy Allen and their spouses and several loving nieces and nephews and many loyal friends. Paul did not want a formal memorial service but wanted his ashes spread in his favorite place in the mountains for many years, Ross Lake Resort.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorials- In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Hospice of the Northwest or the Stanwood WA. American Legion service office.
