Paul Robert Jantzen
1950-2025
The family of Paul Robert Jantzen is saddened to announce his passing on November 12,
2025. He went home to be with the Lord after a long illness. He was a loving husband, father,
grandpa, brother, uncle and son.
Paul was born on October 10,1950 in Fort Meade, Maryland. He spent his childhood years
living on various military bases across the United States and was also able to live abroad in
Germany while his father served in the Military. His family settled in Tacoma, WA where he
graduated from Lakes High school and attended Green River College and Bates Technical
College.
He met his loving wife Nancy on a blind date, and they celebrated 47 years February 18, 2025.
Paul had a love of music, played guitar from a young age and landed his first job working in a
music store in Tacoma. He has played in numerous bands throughout his life including garage
bands with friends, Christian worship bands, and was a Worship Team Musician and Sound
Board Technician at Bethany Covenant Church and Crossroads Church in Skagit Valley. He
shared many fun stories over the years of band practice in garages, loading up the Volkswagen
Van to play in local gigs with high school and college buddies and entertaining guest at
weddings and anniversary parties.
He worked for over thirty years for Burkhart Dental Supply repairing and installing dental
equipment throughout Western Washington and Alaska. After leaving Burkhart, he started his
own company, Jantzen Dental Service and serviced dental offices throughout Skagit, Whatcom
and Island counties. He retired in 2015 after 10 years of being self-employed.
In his free time, Paul enjoyed doing outdoor activities with family including boating, waterskiing,
crabbing, fishing, camping, and snow skiing in the Pacific Northwest. He enjoyed telling his
numerous bear stories from fishing for salmon and halibut in the cold waters of Alaska. He also
enjoyed dirt bike riding, and motorcycle trips to Sturgis and various National Parks across USA
and Canada on his Honda Goldwing and in more recent years his Harley Davidson.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter Ashley and her two puppies Ellie and Mazee; son
Christopher, wife Amy and 5 grandchildren Philippa, Matilda, Magnus, Margareta and Einer;
brother Michael Jantzen; nieces and nephew Megan, Keri, Haley and John.
Family in Missouri and Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Eleonore Jantzen.
A celebration of life will be given in his honor at 1:00 pm on February 28th, 2026, at
Community Covenant Church of Clear Lake, 12605 State Route 9 Clear Lake WA 98235.
