Penna "Penny" Tidrington (Arford), 75, of Burlington, WA passed away peacefully on November 10, 2022. Penny was born in Mount Vernon, WA on July 22, 1947, to Oscar and Maxine Arford.
Penny was raised by her grandparents Dick and Lizzie Frets. She spent her childhood in Wenatchee and Mount Vernon and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1965. After high school she attended Skagit Valley College. In 1968, Penny married Mike Tidrington and together they had 2 daughters.
Penny adored working with children at First Lutheran Preschool and Madison Elementary but as her daughters got older she moved into a career in the medical insurance industry. In her later years, Penny moved to Eastern Washington to be close to her grandchildren. After she retired, Penny moved back to Skagit Valley to be near her friends and family.
Penny is survived by her daughters Tiffany Vopalensky and Megan Castellano; her grandsons Blake and Jase Vopalensky and Kyson and Cooper Castellano. She is also survived by stepsister Koby Peterson and stepbrother Brad Dally.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 1:00pm at Bertelsen Winery 20598 Starbird Road Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
