Peter Rasco, 57, of Mount Vernon, WA passed away on May 5, 2022.

Peter is survived by his wife, Stephanie, their three sons, Jack, Henry and Charles, his mother, Gladys, his brother and sister-in-law, Charlie Rasco and Natalie Depp of Knoxville, TN, and his sister and brother-in-law, Morgan Rasco and Chuck Thomson of Colorado Springs, CO.  His father, Bertis Crawford Rasco, passed away in 2017.

Peter was born and raised in Portland, OR, and graduated from University of Oregon in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.  He received an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1993.  Peter began his career in environmental consulting, working for Brown and Caldwell in Southern CA and then ENSR in Alameda, CA.  Married in 1996, he and Stephanie began their family.  After moving to the Skagit Valley in 2005, he bought and managed Sound Shredding and Recycling in Bellingham.  Following that, he managed a construction company, Industrial Resources, Inc.

Peter was dedicated to serving his community.  He served on numerous boards of directors including Burlington Little School, Boy Scout Troop 4081, Burlington Morning Rotary, and Chinook Enterprises.  In addition, he supported and participated in his sons interests in piano, backpacking, swimming, baseball and soccer.

Peter enjoyed his regular Mt. Erie hikes with friends, his two cats, his SF Bay sailing days, his Pacific Northwest boating and fishing adventures and his many travels with his family.  Memories of Peter's positive attitude, sense of humor, and willingness to take on life's challenges will help to fill the hole in the hearts of his family and friends.
