Obituary

Ralph lost his battle with cancer after a valiant 6 year fight. He passed away peacefully with family at his side. Ralph was born on November 12, 1950 in Artesia , California to Jan and Ruth Petter. He graduated from high school in Ephrata and attended Skagit Valley College ; he served in the US Army and Vietnam for 18 months and received an honorable discharge. Ralph was a member of the Back Country Horseman.

He leaves behind partner and love of his life Candi Judy, two Daughters; Rebecca Dierst of Acme, Washington , and Sara (Jay) Warhol of Tetonia , Idaho . His precious Grandchildren; Ryenne, Alexandria , and Colton Dierst, and Sawyer Warhol. Brothers; Jack (Tena) Petter, Harry Petter and John Petter all of Idaho , Gerhart (Eyenon) Petter of Ontario, California, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

It has been said of Ralph that he was reliable, honest and of good character, he loved his family. His smile, good nature, and positive attitude will be remembered as well. He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A special thanks to Dr. Mathey and all the staff at Skagit Valley Regional. Especially to Crystal , Kevin, David, and Erin for their loving care. We would also like to thank Hospice of the Northwest for their care for Ralph at home.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10AM at Hawthorne Memorial Park with refreshments reception to follow. All are invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions are welcome to the American Cancer Society.
