Raquel Chaires, age 57, loving mother of three, and adoring grandmother of six grandchildren, passed away peacefully with her family on February 5th, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Raquel was born on November 11th, 1965 in Mercedes, Texas and grew up with a large family, she was the youngest of 8 siblings. She was a loving and caring woman. Always giving her time to others and she incorporated that into her motherhood.

As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. As a grandmother she was extra loving, gentle and spoiled her grandkids as much as she possibly could. In her free time, she loved coloring, arts/crafts, gardening, sharing silly memes and spending time with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed by her family especially her children Veronica, Nathan & Raquel.

We know we can't have you but we're happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful & beautiful woman.

Raquel is preceded in death by her loving parents Lucia and Anastacio Chaires and Brother Phillip Chaires.

There will be a service for those who would like to say goodbye to Raquel on Friday February 10, 2023 at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, WA.

Viewing begins at 10 am and then followed by ceremony/burial.
