Born in Seattle's Swedish Hospital on November 6, 1916, he spent most of his life in California before moving back to Washington. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1940, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and spent four years in the U .S. He met his wife, Charlotte, at the bottom of the Grand Canyon in 1972. They were married in 1974. He served on the Board of Directors and two terms as president of the Rio Alto Water District in Lake California as well as volunteering many hours in the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Redding, California. His passion was for the great outdoors, and he and Charlotte spent many of their happiest hours cruising the Pacific Norwest, in their boat Discovery. His lifelong interest in hiking, boating, and adventuring took him to many places, including a visit to Norway where he discovered family members from the Fosmark side of his family. He also served many years as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Shasta Community Concert Association. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, daughters Patty Iverson and Sara Longworth, and son Larry Puck. He also leaves six grandchildren and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, WA, on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 3.00pm with a reception to follow in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
