Obituary

With great sadness we announce the passing of Robert Brian Bennett, on Thursday September 8th, at the age of 61. Bob was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Bennett, father Frank Bennett, brother and sister-in-law Greg and Diane Bennett, sisters Peggy Bennett and Fran Scown, son and daughter Jacob Bennett and Melany Fryer, and his long awaited grandson Forrest Robert Bennett. However, he touched the lives of too many family members and friends to list, including the many kids he took in, stepchildren, and more.

Bob was born June 19th, 1961 in Mount Vernon, WA to Frank and Anne Bennett. He loved the outdoors, hunting, crabbing, baseball, dogs, and his greatest passion… motorcycles. He went on to race for Yamaha, and at one time was ranked 27th in the nation. Bob shared this passion with his son Jake, and together they built and rode bikes as soon as Jake could walk. Jake was the pride and joy of his life. Bob was a hard working man, and devoted many years to Janicki Industries. He never called in sick, and instilled that same work ethic in his son, and the young men that he coached in youth baseball for years. Many of those men kept in touch with him and looked up to him into adulthood. Coaching those boys was one of the greatest times of his life.

Bob and Vickie were married on January 21st , 2020. Together they built a big family full of children, and many grandchildren. After being a single father for many years, Bob got his happy ending with Vickie. Anyone who knew Bob knew how stubborn he was, and Vickie had the patience of an angel! His legacy and memory will be carried on forever, and no words can describe how much he will be missed. As Bob would have said… "The pleasure was all yours".

The service will be held at Fire Mountain Boy Scout camp on Thursday, September 29th, 2022 from 3-6:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bob's memory to the Sedro Woolley Youth Baseball League.
