Obituary

Robert (Bob) E. Blem, 87, residing in Mt Vernon, Washington passed away on September 17, 2018.
Celebration of Life services will be held at the Everett Elks Lodge, 2802 Hoyt Ave, Everett, WA 98201 (425)252-4179, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
Bob was born on November 26, 1930 in Everett, WA to Edwin & Anna Blem. They later moved to Lake Stevens, WA where Bob and his sister MaryAnn (Thompson) attended and graduated from Lake Stevens High School. Bob graduated in 1948. After graduation Bob spent time as a commercial fisherman and as a deck hand on a tug before enlisting in the US Navy. Bob participated in the Korean War. The majority of Bob's career was spent as an electrician with the Weyerhauser Company at the Everett Kraft mill.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Anne (Ricker) Blem, son Curtis Blem (Melissa), daughter Katie Bell (Jeff) and son Robert C. Blem. Grand children Zac (Rachel), Mackenzie, and Kourtney Bell as well as one great grandchild, Skylar Bell.
Dad was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. He was caring and compassionate and loved to talk, tell stories, and joke. He was a spiritual man and involved in many church activities. He was generous, faithful, and made anyone who came into contact with him feel that they were a friend. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
