Robert A. (Bob) Nuttall passed away August 15 th 2016 after a brief illness. Bob was born on October 9 th 1933 in Dunfermline Illinois . He grew up in the small rural town, and graduated from Canton High School in 1951. He worked in the local bakery after High School, and joined the U.S. Navy 1952. He spent time in Key West Florida , before being sent to Japan for the remainder of his service. He played both Basketball and Baseball for the Navy while being stationed there. He was an exceptional baseball player, and many games they played were against the elite teams from Japan . After he served his country, he returned home and he married Carol Ann Davis. They had a daughter named Serena, and shortly after moved out west, where son Larry was born in 1960. He worked construction on several of the hydroelectric dams on the Columbia River , Priest Rapids and Rocky Reach were the first two where he learned the trade of concrete finisher. He went on to work on Wells Dam before joining the construction firm Bechtel in June of 1969. He worked on projects in Centralia , WA , Michigan , Texas , West Virginia , Florida , California , and Oregon . He also worked In Fort McMurray Alberta Canada, and even in Russia . His final job was on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge project, which he retired from in 2008. His beloved wife Carol passed away before him on March 11 th , 2012. He is survived by his daughter Serena (Bernie) of Suisun City , CA . His son Larry (Sally) of Mount Vernon , WA . Grandkids Steven (Krystal) of Sedro Woolley, Rhonda (Torre) of Mount Vernon . Great grandchildren Ethan, Madison, Connor, and Avery. His brothers Andy ( Sharon ) of Canton Illinois , and Johnny (Marsha) of Marietta , Georgia . Nieces and nephews Debbie, Lisa, Tricia, Steve, Mike and Johnny. His dog, a beautiful English Labrador named Lady now lives with Larry and Sally.
