Obituary

Burlington - Robert J "Bob" Springer 71, passed away February 03, 2026, after an 8-year battle with cancer. Bob was born in Omak, Washington on November 06, 1954, to Delmar and Josephine Springer and raised in Okanogan until 1970 when his family moved to Burlington. Bob graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in 1973.

Bob had a great love of music and playing guitar, a passion he enjoyed from an early age when he saved his money to buy his first guitar and taught himself to play. He played lead and rhythm guitar with many local bands starting in the late 1970's, the last being "The Troy Fair Band".

Bob took pride in keeping a beautiful lawn and loved driving around the yard with a youngster sitting with him on the mower. He enjoyed golfing and watching sports with friends and family, making his grandkids his "world famous pancakes", and the many projects he completed around his home.

Bob especially treasured his time with his family, children, grandchildren and friends. He was predeceased by his father Delmar Springer, brother "Butch" Springer, and beloved "Gram" Mary Bean.

Above all Bob will be remembered for his quick wit and lightheartedness, his constant smile and laughter, his compassion and caring for others, for always being available and ready to help, being a loyal friend, and for his devotion to his family.

He is survived by, his wife of 35 years, Nadine (Bowlin), his 5 children, Michael (Christina) Terebesi, Jason Springer, Sarah Mulholland (Jennifer), Derek Springer and Cory Springer, and his 7 grandchildren, Steven, Ashley, Mary, Alex, Maya, Maddox, Leon, his special little friend Valerie that called him "Papa", and 2 great grandchildren (with one on the way). He is also survived by his mother, Jo (Dennis) Doyle, his siblings, Mary (Rick) Clute, Kathy (Charlie) Shubert, Sherry (Mike) Peach, Bill (Christine Wells) Springer, and Jeff (Rina) Springer, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
